Scottyboy is home. In my first blog, I said I'm pro-Bush (about half the time). Well, this is the other half, and I'm baffled. It's funny that we have illegal immigrants protesting with their Mexican flags about American legislation to keep other illegals out of our country. It's maddening to see Congress' and Bush's response. What I hear them saying to Mexican sneak-ins is this: "I want you to know my future voters, er fine undocumented immigrants, we plan to beef up the border security to look good at election time. But don't worry: It's an act. Listen, all you have to do is sneak over like you always do, at a rate of about 1.3-million a year. But now, you don't have to worry about getting caught and released. Now if you get caught, no problemo, señors. Get charged with a misdemeanor and join our guest-worker program. Don't worry about the others who have made every attempt at becoming citizens, waiting as long as 10 years to do so. This is America: Welcome." Let me break it down for y'all. Mexico's biggest money maker is its oil at about $25-billion a year. The reason Fox et al. won't help patrol the borders is the other $17-billion a year his country gets. How, you ask? The illegals come to our country, take our jobs, access our doctors — often for free — and ship their money back down to Mexico. They ship $17-billion back to the country they're fleeing. Now do you see the real reason they protest? In addition, they cost American taxpayers $65-billion to care for. I don't understand our leadership. We go overseas to fight a war to protect our country, which was the right thing to do. But we open our borders to disease, thieves, MS13 gangs and other problems. I'm all for immigration: America is a melting pot. But do it legally. How can we say, "These are our laws. You're not allowed to be here. But if you're here, you're legally allowed to take advantage of us?" Stop the madness, por favor. Scottyboy gone!

I know this subject oh too well. I am only two hours from the border and am in the epicenter of the Southern California Invasion. I used to live in Santa Ana (yes named after that General) where it is much easier if you speak Spanish as oppoesed to demand English be used. As you know I wrote three pieces about it and want to write more (and will as the debate goes on) but paused tonight for reader's sake. Check out the John and Ken show ( KFI640.com, scroll down the left side and click their names), you will enjoy it.
I can forsee what will coem of it all but I also know what the best deal for the country is. Can you see the resolve?
